Ceramic Wall Panels
Several different types of stoneware clays and porcelain are used to create my distinctive ceramic wall pieces. Prepared clay bodies are inlayed into one another, with fine lines and marks etched directly into the surface. Oxides and glazes are applied sparingly to preserve the stone-like quality of the clay. The work is once fired to high stoneware temperature in an electric kiln. Each panel has either a birch plywood backing or a hand painted wooden frame.
